Tips To Stay Healthy

Many people suffer from being overweight, fatness, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart diseases, kidney problems, and so many other unknown problems. A lot of these problems occur because of lifestyle choices.

What's the point if you can go to a luxurious 5-star hotel for lunch, but can't eat there because of your health.

Life is beautiful and you don’t want to bog yourself down with unnecessary health problems. Today, your essential organs may be working well, but they may not be tomorrow. Don’t take your health for granted. Protect your body.

Good health is not just concerning healthy eating and exercises, but it’s also about having a positive attitude, a good self-image, and a healthy lifestyle.

Drink More Water

Most of us don’t drink sufficient water every day. Water is necessary for our bodies to use. Do you know over 60.5% of our body is made up of water? Water is needed to carry out body functions, remove waste, and bring nutrients and oxygen around our body. Since we lose water daily through urine, bowel movements, diaphoresis, and breathing, we need to freshen our water intake. Filtered water helps to reduce chlorine and other toxins. An alkaline water filter is the best choice to drink.

Take Care Of Food

Avoid unhealthy food that is high in calories. They gradually take a toll on your health leading to weight gain, heart diseases, and cholesterol. Eat seasonal fruits that are rich in fiber, vitamins, and proteins. Nobody will ask you to ban those delicious desserts all together at the beginning. But, a little moderation at the beginning can ensure that you never reach the stage where you can’t have it anymore. Make it a point to eat healthily and stay healthy.

Have An Exercise Routine

Get a hotel with a fitness center or purchase a temporary pass at the local gym. If not, you can always work out in your room doing pushups, sit-ups, yoga poses, jumping jacks – get creative! Do a run in the neighborhood. Some public beaches even have a free workout area for people to use. Have a schedule in mind and stick to it, whether it is exercising every other day at 8 a.m. or every two days at 3 p.m.

Make Healthy Friends

Find a friend or two to start exercising with. Let them motivate you, and in turn, you can motivate them. Sometimes, ill health is a result of social isolation and the end product of poor social decisions. When people incorporate regular physical exercise into their lives, nearly everything improves.

Eat Fruits

Fruits have a load of vitamins and minerals. Do you know that oranges offer more health benefits than vitamin C pills? Satisfy your palate with these nutritious fruits: watermelon, apricots, avocado, apple, cantaloupe, grapefruit, kiwi, guava, papaya, and strawberries. If you plan to consume a lot of fruits in one go, consume fruit with some fats such as a dressing, almond butter, olive oil, or avocado to reduce the glycemic load.

Protect Your Skin

It is very important to wear a high UV sunscreen, for example, moisturizer with SPF on your face during every season. The sun can cause a lot of skin damage, so you need to protect yourself from sun spots, wrinkles, and future skin problems. Tanning salons should also be avoided. According to skincanger.org, indoor UV tanners are 74% more likely to develop melanoma than people who have never tanned indoors.

Breathe Deeply

Oxygen is vital for life. You may know how to breathe, but are you breathing properly? Most of us don’t breathe properly. Many take shallow breaths and breathe to 1/3 of our lung capacity. Athletes are coached proper breathing techniques to get their best performance. A full breath is one where your lungs are completely filled, your abdomen expands, and there’s minimum movement in your shoulders.

Late Night Meals

Having meals on time is as important as having a healthy meal. Having meals, at least a couple of hours before you hit the bed prevents obesity and other severe health complications. Also, late night snacking might result in indigestion, which interferes with your sleep.

Proper Sleep

Get a minimum of 8 hours sleep because it relaxes your mind and keeps you healthy. The human body is a machine and, just like any machine, requires rest and recharging; our bodies also need a sufficient amount of sleep.

Your health is a prize. It is precious! All it takes are the above tips to stay healthy!
